How to Use ALOE Email?
ALOE Email
ALOE Email integrates Outlook with ALOE securely allowing users to create or modify ALOE tasks from their inbox. A user can add new tasks from an email, including all attachments. It can also add an email and its attachments to ALOE tasks or make additional comments to existing tasks.
Log In
- After installing the plug-in, you need to login first into an ALOE instance. Select an email, click its Action button, and click ALOE Email > Create ALOE task. You will be redirected to the Welcome Screen.
- Enter the ALOE URL without the https, e.g., bigfork.dev.aloe-2.com
- Click Next. You will be redirected to the Login Screen.
- Enter the username and password.
- Click Login.
- You will be redirected to the Login Successful Screen that says you are all set.
Create ALOE Task
- Select an email. Click its Action button and select ALOE Email > Create ALOE task. You will be redirected to the Category Selection page.
- Select a category. Then, click Next. You will be redirected to the ALOE task form.
- Select a task type. Then, other fields will be shown. The fields shown are dynamically generated depending on the Category and Task Type selection.
- The Title will be automatically populated by the email’s subject. Also, Description with the email’s body.
- Click the Create ALOE task button. You will be redirected to the Task Creation Successful Screen with a View in ALOE button where it will redirect you to the ALOE instance. Note that you need to be logged in to view the task in ALOE.
Add Email to Task
- Select an email, click its Action button, and click ALOE Email > Add email to task. You will be redirected to a screen with a Search box.
- Click a task result. You will be redirected to a screen with a text area that includes the email details.
- Click the Add email task button. You will be redirected to the Add Email to Task Successful Screen that says the email is added as a comment in the task.
View Related Task
- In the same email we used in Create ALOE task or Add email task function, select its Action button, and select the ALOE Email > View related tasks.
- You will be redirected to the Related tasks Screen where it lists all the tasks that use the ALOE Email functions.
- If you click any item, it will go to the Task screen where it displays some details about the task and a View in ALOE button.
